Meridians, also known as energy channels or pathways, are a concept in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and other traditional healing systems. These meridians are believed to be pathways in the body through which vital energy, known as Qi or Chi, flows.
The balance and flow of Qi in the meridians are essential for maintaining physical and mental health.

There are 12 major meridians in the body, each associated with specific organs and functions. These meridians are:
Lung Meridian (LU): Governs respiration and energy distribution.
Large Intestine Meridian (LI): Responsible for elimination and cleansing.
Stomach Meridian (ST): Manages digestion and nutrient distribution.
Spleen Meridian (SP): Governs digestion and transforms food into energy.
Heart Meridian (HT): Regulates blood circulation and houses the spirit.

YIN & YANG
The 12 Principal Meridians are categorized into Yin and Yang groups:
Yin represents femininity, darkness, slowness, softness, coldness, and wetness. They are represented by elements like water, earth, the moon, and night-time.
Yang meridians, on the other hand, embodies masculinity, light, action, speed, and aggressiveness. They are represented by elements like the sun, the sky, and daytime.
Balancing Yin and Yang within the body is a fundamental principle In traditional Chinese medicine, as imbalances or blockages in the flow of Qi through these meridians are believed to cause various physical or mental health issues.
